Einladung zur Infoveranstaltung zum aktuellen Frauenaufstand in Balochistan
-kollektiver Widerstand gegen kollektive Gewalt und Unterdrückung–
Am 24. Februar um 18 Uhr im N.r.z.P. Vortrag (Podiumsgespräch) und Kurzdokumentation über den aktuellen Widerstand, den langen Protestmarsch der Frauen von Turbat nach Islamabad und die Sit-In-Proteste in Islamabad mit anschließender Diskussion mit den beiden baloch Aktivist:innen, die den Vortrag halten werden.
Seit dem 23. November gibt es eine neue Welle des Widerstands in Balochistan (pakistanischer Teil). Ausgelöst durch die Ermordung des jungen Baloch Balach Muala Baksh durch die pakistanische Polizei in Turbat kam es zu Massenprotesten gegen die jahrzehntelange Unterdrückung, das gewaltsame Verschwindenlassen und die Tötung von Baloch. Die Proteste führten zu einem langen Protestmarsch über 1.600 km von Turbat über Quetta in die pakistanische Hauptstadt Islamabad, wo seit der Ankunft des Marsches ein großes Protestcamp mit Hunderten von Familien, Aktivist:innen und Angehörigen der Entführten errichtet wurde. Der gesamte Protest wird von Frauen angeführt, die ihre Stimme gegen Menschenrechtsverletzungen, Gewalt und Unterdrückung erheben und lautstarke Forderungen stellen.

Invitation to the info event on the current women’s uprising in Balochistan
– collective resistance against collective violence and oppression –

Lecture (Panel talk) and short documentary on the current resistance, the long protest march led by women from Turbat to Islamabad and the sit-in protests in Islamabad, followed by a discussion with the two Baloch activists who will give the lecture.
Since November 23, there has been a new wave of resistance in Balochistan (Pakistani part). Triggered by the killing of a young Baloch man Balach Muala Baksh by the Pakistani police in Turbat, mass protests have erupted against decades of oppression, enforced disappearances and killings of Baloch people. The protests gave rise to the long protest march over 1,600 km from Turbat via Quetta to the Pakistani capital Islamabad, where a large protest camp has been established with hundreds of families, activists and relatives of the abducted persons since the arrival of the march. The entire protest is being led by women who are raising their voices against human rights violations, violence and oppression and making loud demands.
